CCD

Sunday Religious Education Program

OMGC ministers to the religious education needs of the entire parish community.  Classes are held on Sundays for children ages 3 through 12 in which we strive to teach doctrines and traditions of the Catholic faith, and to develop an atmosphere of prayer and worship.  Adults are always needed to help catechize.

Youth Ministry

Youth Group: This ministry involves working with youth ages 10 through 17 in a caring, faith-sharing relationship that can flexibly respond to individual needs.  Adult Ministers strive to accomplish this through various spiritual, social, and cultural activities which are led by the youth and youth ministers of the parish.

Religious Education Committee:
This is a group of volunteers who work with the Parish Minister of Religious Education in developing programs to suit the needs of all parishioners in the area of education.  This includes CCD classes, Youth Ministry, Adult Education, Liturgy of the Word for Children, Sacramental Preparation, and any other areas of education for which there is a need.  The Committee meets once a month.

Sacramental Preparation: Preparation for the Sacraments of Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation (celebrated every other year) is incorporated into the program and involves the candidate, parent(s) and entire parish community, including those children who attend the parish school.
